Keeping Up with Everything

With new advances in technology, also comes great responsibility. Especially when it comes to hybrid and online classes. Long gone are the days when teachers simply handed you your homework in class, and told you when it was due. Now, you have to go online and keep up to date with homework due dates yourself, and normally without much of a heads up from your teacher in class.

It’s not all bad though. Being able to see when all the due dates for the semester are has its benefits. It can be a lot to try and remember when assignments are due for all your classes, while juggling a job, and other activities. Luckily, we have technology at our finger tips to remember it for us! Most of us, or at least if your reading this blog post, have access to at least a computer, with a calendar of some sort to keep track of the multitude of assignments for us. Most will even pop up with a loud message a day or so in advance if you ask it too.

iPod and iPad

Computers are not the only due date keeping devices in the world. Nowadays, it’s also uncommon for phones, ipods, and other gadgets, we carry around, to have a calendar and remind us of important upcoming events.

For example, last semester I used my awesome ipad to keep track of everything for me. It was completely fantastic. At the very beginning of the semester, I just took an hour or so to input all my assignments for all my online classes into my ipad, and made sure it reminded me the day before something was due, and the day of, so I couldn’t miss it.

So every morning I would wake up, check my ipad, and see what I had due that day. Viola! I was on top of every thing! I only missed one assignment out of the whole semester, and that because they changed the due date, and I forgot to change it.

I encourage you try this out, or something similar, with your Blackberry phone, your computer, or your ipod/ipad/Zune/etc, and see how much it can help you keep track of school, work , and everything else that crops up in life.
